PRRD Geohazards Workshop, RFP 15-2023

Submission Deadline:

2:00pm, Sep 7 2023

The Peace River Regional District (Regional District) is requesting proposals from qualified proponents to develop and facilitate a Geohazard Workshop to support PRRD staff and elected officials to make informed decisions about development and land use in areas with geohazards, with a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities. The objective of the workshop will be to provide guidance in the following areas, informed by best practices in BC, Canada, and internationally:

  1. Framework for making risk-informed decisions in a changing climate.
  2. Use of geohazard information (e.g., maps) in decision-making.
  3. Legal roles and responsibilities related to geohazards in developed areas.
  4. Create a venue to discuss ‘big questions’ related to governance in geohazards areas.

A copy of the Request for Proposal is available on the Bonfire website:https://prrd-bc.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/69780

All RFP submissions must be uploaded electronically to https://prrd-bc.bonfirehub.ca/.
