Blackfoot Regional Park Design Study
This study was completed in order to explore the potential of enhancing Blackfoot Park to meet current and future needs! During the study, we heard from many people who brought their local knowledge and vision for the park. Thank you for your input! What came out of the study was a plan that will guide the Peace River Regional District in the development of the park that reflects the local values and desires of people who live here. Please take a look, and let us know what you think!
Montney Centennial Regional Park Design Study
The Montney Centennial Regional Park is located on Charlie Lake and provides a rustic campground that is off of the beaten track. The Peace River Regional District wanted to know what people thought about the park and how the park could be developed to keep the same charm but make it more enjoyable to all. The study was completed in 2018 and the Regional District will use this to upgrade the park to reflect your desires for it!
Regional Parks and Trails Master Plan
Adopted by the Board of Directors in July 2014, the purpose of the plan is to develop guidelines that will assist the PRRD in making decisions regarding the current and future regional parks system, existing and future regional parks, and the support of recreational trails throughout the PRRD.

North Peace Recreation Facility Inventory & Assessment
Completed in February 2015, the study was a joint project between the Regional District, City of Fort St John and the District of Taylor and provides all three local governments with a stronger understanding of current and future demands of recreation user groups in relation to existing facilities. Going forward, this information will assist in decision making, prioritizing and focusing investments into recreation facility upgrades, replacements and construction to meet the needs of the North Peace community.
