The Environmental Services department is a diverse function that operates and delivers programs and services relating the environment of the Regional District, such as:
- the treatment of invasive plants;
- the management of garbage and recycling (Solid Waste Management)
- water and sewer functions for the rural area.
Other Environmental Services programs are the funding and establishment of future rural water and sewer systems; and, with the aid of Northern Health, deliver the West Nile Virus program.
