The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) is inviting Rose Prairie and area residents to a virtual town hall on Tuesday, March 30 at 6 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the future of water services in the Rose Prairie area and to answer residents’ questions.
The meeting will consist of a short presentation by Electoral Area B Director Karen Goodings and Peace River Regional District staff, followed by a question and answer period.
“We acknowledge Rose Prairie and area residents have been waiting for some time for a reliable source of clean drinking water in that area, and we thank them for their patience as we work through this,” says Electoral B Area Director Karen Goodings. “We will use the meeting to answer questions and discuss a feasibility study to identify other areas, with treatable surface or ground water sources, where a new water station could be established. The virtual meeting will be an opportunity to give them some information and get their thoughts on potential options.”
If residents are aware of a potential alternative source of potable water, the PRRD would like to hear from you. Fill out a survey, submit questions for the virtual town hall meeting, and find the Zoom join link at haveyoursay.prrd.bc.ca.
