BC Wildfire Service now has the fire listed as being held, meaning a wildfire that is projected to remain within the current perimeter, control line or boundary, at 109 hectares.

The Peace River Regional District is aware of the Lames Creek wildfire (G70221) in the Groundbirch area and is working with the BC Wildfire Service to carefully monitor the situation. There are no evacuation alerts or orders issued at this time.
