Notice of Special Meeting on February 11
The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) hereby gives notice of its intention to hold a Special Meeting of the Health Care Scholarship Committee at 10:00 am on February 11, 2025, at the PRRD Dawson Creek Office (located at 1981 Alaska Avenue, Dawson Creek, BC).
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the following:
- Healthcare Scholarships offered by the PRRD
- 2025 North Peace Secondary School Health Care Scholarship confirmation
- PRRD and Northern Health Authority Memorandum of Understanding
The public is welcome to attend.

Notice of 2025 Parcel Tax Roll Review Meeting
This is a public notice required by the Local Government Act
The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) is holding a meeting to review parcel tax rolls on February 13, 2025, at 9 AM. The meeting will be held at 1981 Alaska Avenue, Dawson Creek BC and online on Zoom.
We will be reviewing proposed changes to the parcel tax rolls for these services:
- Friesen Subdivision and Area Sewage Collection
- Rolla Sewer
- Harper Imperial Subdivision and Area Sewage Collection
- Chilton Subdivision Sewage Collection
- Kelly Lake Sewage
- Rolla Creek Watercourse Dyking
- Fort St. John Airport Subdivision Sanitary Sewer
- Fort St. John Airport Subdivision Potable Water
- Charlie Lake Sewage
We are reviewing parcel tax rolls to make sure the information is correct before sending out 2025 tax bills. You can review the parcel tax rolls at the Regional District offices in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John. The offices are open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM except as noted below
- Dawson Creek Office: 1981 Alaska Avenue, Dawson Creek, BC
- Fort St. John Office: 9505-100 Street, Fort St. John, BC (Closed 12 PM to 1 PM)
Requesting Corrections
You can ask us to correct parcel tax roll information for your property only, if:
- A parcel name or address is incorrect, or missing (There is an error or omission respecting a name or address on the tax roll)
- A parcel has been listed which should not be included (There is an error or omission respecting the inclusion of a parcel)
- A parcel has been exempted that should be included, or a parcel has been excluded that should be included (An exemption has been improperly allowed or disallowed)
To ask for a correction or to request details on how to join the meeting online via Zoom, you must contact the Chief Financial Officer, in writing, by February 11, 2025, at 9 AM. You can send your request:

Service Disruption, Upper Halfway Transfer Station
UPDATE: December 27, 2024 – The station resumed regular operations on December 25, 2024.
The Upper Halfway Transfer Station is temporarily closed as of December 24, 2024, due to a power outage. Please use the Buick Creek Transfer Station at 19468 Aitken Creek Road as an alternate.

Service Disruption, Cecil Lake Transfer Station
The Cecil Lake Transfer Station is temporarily closed on December 18, 2024, due to a power outage. Regular operations will resume on December 19, 2024.
Please access the Rose Prairie Transfer Station at 12452 260 Road as an alternate. A full list of waste facilities and operating hours is available on our website.

Notice of Nomination, 2025 Electoral Area B Local Government By-Election
This is a public notice required by the Local Government Act
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to the electors of the Peace River Regional District that nominations for one (1) Director representing Electoral Area B for the remainder of the term ending October 17, 2026 will be received by the Chief Election Officer, or designate, between 9am on January 7, 2025 and 4pm on January 17, 2025.

New Development Application Procedures and Fees Effective January 1, 2025
The Regional Board has adopted a new Development Application Procedures, Fees and Delegation Bylaw to be implemented on January 1, 2025. The new bylaw will clarify development application processes, streamline timelines and update fee schedules to align with best practices.

The Peace River Regional District’s Development Services Department offers comprehensive assistance to residents, covering a wide range of property-related matters. Recent updates to the Development Application Procedures and Fees are designed to maintain and improve the high standard of service we provide to our communities. These changes will enable the PRRD to streamline processes, improve response times and offer more tailored support.
Service Disruption, Moberly Lake Transfer Station closed on December 15
The Moberly Lake Transfer Station will be closed on December 15, 2024, due to scheduled maintenance by BC Hydro.
The station will resume regular working hours on Monday, December 16, 2024. Thank you for your patience.

Buick Water Station maintenance

On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, essential maintenance will be carried out at the Buick Creek Water Station. While the station will remain fully operational, please be aware that there may be potential delays while using the facility.
