The Peace River Regional District has reduced the evacuation ORDER area for the Boundary Lake wildfire (G80220) for properties in the BOUNDARY/GOODLOW area.
The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) has changed the areas affected by the Boundary Lake Evacuation as of 5 p.m. today (May 7, 2023). Some properties in the Boundary Lake/Goodlow area, north of Cecil Lake road and west of 213 Road, have been downgraded to an Evacuation Alert and those residents can return home. However, properties west of the Alberta border to 213 Road remain under the Evacuation Order. There are no changes to the Red Creek Evacuation Orders or Alerts.
The Evacuation Order remains in effect for properties in the BOUNDARY/GOODLOW area within the following boundaries:
- on the East to the Alberta border
- on the South to the north-side of Moose Creek Avenue and to 1.2km north of the 240 Road.
- on the West to the east side of 213 Road to Moose Creek Ave, and to the east side of Clayhurst Road from Moose Creek Ave.
- on the North to the south side of Cecil Lake and 248 Roads to the end of the 248 road, and to 2.0km north of the Cecil Lake Road

- Evacuate the area immediately!
- Due to smoke and fire in the area, it is recommended to evacuate through the following route:
- Proceed west along the Cecil Lake Road to Fort St John
- For Emergency Support Services call (250) 794-3310 as the reception centre is currently closed.
