Boundary Lake Water Station closure

The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) has closed the Boundary Lake Water Station, located at 1105 Cecil Lake Road in Electoral Area B. The water station will be out of service until further notice. The closure began on Monday, August 12, 2024, after a routine inspection raised concerns about raw water quality.

Investigation has identified an equipment failure on the supplier’s side of the system as the cause of the compromised water quality. The supplier is currently repairing the failure point. While this event has affected the water station, the PRRD confirms that the damage poses no threat to public safety. However, it has impacted the treatment system’s functionality.
