The Peace River Regional District is pleased to confirm the results of the election of Chair and Vice Chair of the Regional Board of Directors. Electoral Area D Director Leonard Hiebert will serve as Chair and Electoral Area E Director Dan Rose as Vice Chair, for a one-year term.
The appointments followed the procedural call for nominations at the Inaugural Meeting today in Dawson Creek, with voting conducted by secret ballot.
The Board of Directors for the PRRD and Hospital District is comprised of four Electoral Area Directors and eight Municipal Directors, with the later appointed by the councils of their respective municipalities.
The PRRD will be working with the Regional Board in the coming weeks to announce alternates and update the public with Electoral Area Director profiles. An overview of the current Board of Directors is available on the Regional District’s website.
