PRRD partners with Interchange Recycling to offer new recycling service for used oil and antifreeze materials


The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) has partnered with Interchange Recycling to offer recycling services for used oil, antifreeze and associated containers at the Chetwynd Landfill and Hudson’s Hope Transfer Station. The new recycling service will be available starting September 30th, 2024.

Accepted materials

  • Antifreeze
  • Antifreeze containers
  • Oil containers
  • Oil filters
  • Oil

  • Chetwynd Landfill, 3978 Blair Road
  • Hudson’s Hope Transfer Station, 20318 Canyon Road

Benefits of the service

Recycling is the most efficient and cost-effective way to reclaim the value of automotive materials like oil. The new service will recover more materials, extend the life of a non-renewable natural resource and decrease pollution caused by improper disposal.
