Effective April 19, 2024, and under the direction of the Regional Board, the Kelly Lake Transfer Station located at 280 Kelly Lake Road is closed until further notice.
The temporary closure will allow staff at the Peace River Regional District (PRRD) time to develop additional mitigation strategies and alternative options to deal with repeated break-ins at the facility over the last two years.
The nearest alternate depots are the Tomslake Transfer Station located at 15093 Old Edmonton Hwy, or the Dawson Creek Transfer Station located at 829 Highway 49.
Updates on the Kelly Lake Transfer Station will be communicated via the PRRD’s website (prrd.bc.ca), social media channels and NEBC alerts.
