Public Welcome to Regional Board Meetings

The public are welcome to attend and observe any meeting of the Peace River Regional District. Meeting Agendas are posted on the Regional District website the Friday prior to the meeting date. All meeting observers or delegates must sign-in upon arrival.

Meeting Locations

Dawson Creek meetings take place at the Peace River Regional District Head Office in the boardroom, 1981 Alaska Avenue, Dawson Creek, BC;
Fort St. John meetings take place at the North Peace Cultural Centre in the Carpet Room, 10015 100 Avenue, Fort St. John, BC; with the exception of the December 8, 2017 meeting which will take place at the Northern Grand Hotel, Grand 2 Room, 9830 100 Avenue, Fort St. John, BC.
Taylor meeting to take place at the Taylor Community Hall, 9896 Cherry Avenue W, Taylor, BC.
Charlie Lake Outreach meeting to take place at the Charlie Lake Hall, 12717 Charlie Lake Hall Avenue, Charlie Lake, BC.

Guidelines for Delegations and Petitioners to the Regional Board

Persons or parties wishing to address the Regional District must do so as a scheduled delegation or petitioner and are required to observe the following guidelines:

1. Choose a meeting date well in advance as presentation times are limited and fill up quickly.

2. Send a letter requesting a date for your presentation, stating the subject matter and listing the names and titles of spokespersons. The letter of request and background material must be received by our office at least ten days prior to the meeting in order to be included in the electronic agenda.

3. Once your request is received by our office, you will be contacted to confirm a mutually-convenient time to appear before the Board and to discuss any audio / visual equipment requirements.

4. If you are unable to include the background material with your letter or email, you are required to bring twenty copies to handout at the meeting, or in the case of a power-point presentation, please provide it through electronic media.

5. Each delegation or petitioner is allotted a maximum of fifteen minutes for the presentation.

Appeal Process for Meeting Deadlines

On occasion, due to the shortness of time, it may not be possible to meet the requirements listed in the above guidelines. Persons wishing to appeal this process may do so by speaking directly to the Chair of the Peace River Regional District.
