Are there any regional parks?
Yes, the Regional District has a number of regional parks that are free for public use. Our parks are generally open from mid-May to mid-September. For more information please see our Parks and Recreation page.

Does the Regional District provide any funding to support rural recreation?
Yes, the Regional District provides approximately $450,000 in grants to rural community organizations to support capital improvements, operations, special events and services provided by community halls, gymkhanas, heritage groups, fall fairs and more throughout the region.

The Regional District regularly partners with member municipalities, school districts and local community groups to construct recreation facilities throughout our region.
