Overview
The PRRD has launched the process to create an Official Community Plan (OCP) for the South Peace Fringe Area. The South Peace Fringe Area project will result in an Official Community Plan that will provide direction for the coming fifteen to twenty years. It will ensure the area becomes an even better place to live as changes take place over time. The planning process launched in the summer of 2008 and will continue through to the fall of 2010.
To be developed with significant community involvement over the next twelve months, the Official Community Plan will include policies on a number of important community issues, including land use, transportation, housing, environmentally sensitive areas, water supply and management, utilities, and economic development.
The final Plan will include a series of community-developed land use principles and development objectives for the South Peace Fringe Area. For a map of the planning area, please go to the Downloads Page
