Library Planning Consultants, on behalf of the Peace River Regional District, is conducting a facility feasibility study for the Chetwynd Public Library. The purpose of this study is to analyze the public’s current use of the Chetwynd Public Library and to determine its future space requirements and programming.
The public and key stakeholders will be invited to participate through a number of public engagement strategies – including a questionnaire, focus groups or by telephone interviews.
A paper copy of the questionnaire will be available to be picked up starting mid-May 2017 with responses due June 16, 2017. Pick up and drop off locations include the Chetwynd Public Library (5012-46th Street, Chetwynd), the Chetwynd and District Rec Centre (4552 North Access Road, Chetwynd), and the District of Chetwynd Municipal Office (5400 Hospital Road, Chetwynd). Alternatively, you can find the questionnaire online at http://fluidsurveys.com/s/ChetwyndLibrary/. Your input is very important and will help to shape the final outcome of the study.
The project is expected to be completed by the fall of 2017. The results of the study will be made public and will be will be presented to the District of Chetwynd Mayor and Council and to the Peace River Regional District Board of Directors.
